Bowel Disorders

While bowel disorders can take the form of many different conditions like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s disease, or celiac disease, most bowel disorders are conditions that often affect your small intestine.

These conditions can be bothersome when digesting and absorbing food, and when left untreated, can lead to increased health complications.

Signs & Symptoms:

  • Discomfort and/or pain in the abdomen
  • Gas and/or abdominal bleeding
  • Nausea
  • Constipation
  • Vomiting

Treatment Options:

The majority of bowel disorders are remedied with lifestyle changes and medications. For Crohn’s disease specifically, a doctor may recommend a surgery that will remove a damaged or diseased tissue.
